LineageOS eXtended on Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 - Custom ROM Android 7.1

Android is the most used and popular mobile operating system in the world. There are more thousands and thousands of manufacturers which are making Android devices. The popularity of Android OS is because of the freedom of customization it offers. Unlike iOS, everything on an Android device can easily be modified to match users taste.

 

Download and Install LineageOS eXtended On Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (Android 7.1.2 Nougat) LineageOS eXtended which is based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat finally made its way to the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. Remember, the ROM is an unofficial build and not developed by the Team Lineage. It is shared by acharya21 so all credit goes to him.

Android users can root their device easily and can install TWRP or any other recovery. The rooting process on Android is easier compared to iOS. Once custom recovery is installed, users can flash Custom ROMs which are modified Android Operating systems developed by an Android developer or a group of developers. There are tons of things which users can do after rooting their device like flashing Custom ROMs, kernels and Mods.

Benefits of Installing Custom ROM

Custom ROMs are frequently a method for keeping up-to-date when the manufacturer doesn’t support doesn't support the device. Fortunately Custom ROMs are stable enough to be utilized every day without issues and give us some additional customization that never harmed the user experience.

We can get many advantages, as long as we have completed the process install LineageOS eXtended correctly. one side is we win customization, changing a few components with the manufacturing ROM. It is the best and easiest way to change your phone.

Bloatware is a problem we have been complaining about for a long time. but with the Custom ROM LineageOS eXtended on Samsung Grand 2 SM-G7102 remove a good part of bloatware and giving us that additional storage that had taken from us.

Pre-Requisites

This will work on Samsung SM-G7102 model (Don’t Try this on Any other device)

Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
Download the latest Samsung USB Drivers.
You will lose the original ROM or any Custom ROM if you already installed on your phone. 

Make sure to Backup your phone before doing this steps.
Download all the Zip files from download section.

Installation

Step 1: Download Custom ROM + Gapps packages from the downloads section to your PC. Do not unzip the packages.

Step 2: Connect your phone to PC using a USB cable.

Step 3: Transfer the downloaded packages into the root of phone or SD card memory.

Step 4: Once the transfer is done, turn off your phone.

Step 5: Open the Download Mode and Connect your Phone by USB Cable to PC.

Step 5: Open Odin Tool and Click AP to Add Recovery file then the Custom Recovery will install in your phone.

Step 6: Booting into Custom Recovery, select Wipe. Then in Advanced Wipe tick mark Dalvik / ART Cache, System, Cache and Data and Swipe to wipe.

Step 7: Go back to the main menu Select Install then Browse to the location where you saved the Custom ROM and GApps files. First, select the ROM and Swipe to Install it and same way with Gapps file.

Step 8: If you are done with all the above steps, reboot system.

Download Files

Download the Samsung Custom ROM and other packages from the below download links. Transfer them to your device before proceeding with the installation process.
